How to involve more volunteers, specially returnees – how to bring the fun back?
This question is related to the fact that has been difficult to involve recent returnees from our programs in the AFS structure. Many are the excuses given, like lack of time, need to study, need to... Is our structure attractive enough? Are the tasks interesting for youth?

I will held our education system responsible for inactive returnees. The reason being, for the returnees - their career is most important to them.
ReplyDeleteIn order to involve more volunteers, we need to identify and encourage the students who would always prefer to perform voluntary work, who are good at other activities like sports, drawing, etc.
Moreover, to make the task more interesting for the returnees, AFS should introduce certain career oriented approach like to train and absorb active returnees in AFS Organization so that they can be more actively associated and perform the work with great fun. Needless to mention that their work should be rewarded too.
