How to make participation in AFS sending programs an aspiration for youth?
The first question is related to the fact the AFS in India has been struggling to recruit participants for the traditional year and semester school based programs, tuition based. India has a very competitive school system and the students see their participation in the AFS Program as a distraction to their school path.

As its a proven fact that participation in scholarship program is concerned, its always getting great response. However, so far as World Program is concerned, its not getting response.
ReplyDeleteAs the certain class, who can afford to participate in the World Program would always like their student to go on a program with shorter duration (like 4 to 6 weeks) so that their studies are not suffered. AFS need to initiate such program for students that would certainly attract more students for short term world program.
Moreover, their main aim is to let their students complete schooling over here and thereafter send them for graduation purpose. In view of the same, if AFS introduced certain graduate level program (immediately after 12th) it would certainly be a grand success.
